Castle Peaks Trail-Part 2

On October 17th, 2026, meet at the Denny's parking lot at 100 U.S. Hwy 95 at 9:30 am. There are no restrooms where we are going; please make use of the facilities at Denny's.

At 10:00 am, we will caravan to the trailhead. Head west on Hwy 164/Nipton Rd for 7 miles to Walking Box Road.  Turn left on WBR, go 7 miles, till you get to the corrals on the right. From there, we will drive south 1 1/2 miles on Castle Peaks Trail to the next corrals. We will park there and start our hike.

We will walk about 1 1/2 miles to the old windmill, and then back. Dogs are welcome on leash. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and a walking stick. Easy trail, not much elevation change, but it's very rocky.
