WHAT:
‘Castle Village’ is a Drug & Alcohol Free, Family Friendly & Leave NO Trace event. The Village is nothing but what we make it... different yet the same everytime, a space where you can feel free, in connection with nature and those around you, a space where you are safe to be yourself, and provide the same for others... a space for you to be wild, expressed, raw, human.
If you would like to contribute by offering a workshop, or share your music, art, ideas, philosophies, stories, skills, whatever it may be, feel free to list it on either of the black-boards found on-site!
This space and experience is vulnerably 'clothing optional', and beautifully so... however, we ask that if nudity be your beautiful liberation, that individuals please keep a respectful distance from the Kids Space when in full and fiiiiiine liberated form xox
Please ALWAYS ask permission for photography, especially where people are nude, or in private/vulnerable moments (ie Workshops).
"It's not WHAT we do, but HOW we do it..."
~ Be Safe... Take care of yourself, and each other. If you are bringing a child please remember our kids space is unsupervised, and if you are bringing a dog you will be expected to be pre-emptive, and responsible, for the actions of that dog as stated below in the "Canine Code of Conduct". Exercise self responsibility.
~ Be Respectful... Be light on the land and Leave No Trace... Be kind to people, their hearts, their stuff, and their space.
~ Be Honourable... Respect all boundaries... If it’s not a “f*ck yes!” than it’s a “No.” Consent IS sexy... And it is YOUR responsibility to be radical in seeking that consent BEFORE you touch, make your move, or take a photograph... never assume.
- Be Authentic... This sometimes scary, always vulnerable, invitation of connection is what this ‘Castle Tribe’ was continually founded on… (It is also THE factor on why it is a Drug & Alcohol free event...)
We are vigilant in holding each other and our code - Castle Guardians will be ready to listen and help if needed… Please save this link if YOU are ever wanting to contact them: https://bit.ly/2FreRyX
TICKETS:
There will be NO tickets sold at the gate - You MUST arrange your ticket online prior to arrival.. (PLEASE don’t make us have to turn you away to go get reception, or tell you that they've sold out.)
WHAT TO BRING:
We are each accountable for ourselves - please bring everything you need to be self-sufficient and comfortable for your time in Village, including:
~ Water & Food for yourself Please be sure to bring your own: pots/pans, eskies, utensils, cups, and burners to ensure YOU are well watered and nourished! 20L Water per person is recommended, and if you need bags of Ice, a GREAT tip is to also freeze whole bottles of 1 or 2L of water! They not only obviously melt into drinking water, but help any bag of Ice you buy last a lot longer!
~ Camping Gear! Tents, vans, swags and hammocks, all abodes are welcome in the Castle Village! If you have spare shade cloths, carpets, gazebos or cushions please bring them as they’ll help hold comfy communal areas and much needed extra shade/rain shelter! Bring warm clothes for night time, it gets colder at night in our valley than in the city!
~ A Drum, or Instrument/s of Choice! What gives you your 'Vehicle of Connective Expression'? What facilitates your own journey to let go in to the potent rhythms, beats, and mutually-held rising and falling tales of physical form? In the freedom and 'vessel' that is our own heart-fire of an evening or week-long escapade!?
- A basic (or not so basic!) first aid kit. Self responsibility all the way (but of course, we will have one on hand if required)
~ Decorations! Flags, solar lights and lanterns, flowers, natural body paints (no glitter), durable dress ups. As every Castle Veteran knows, the magic IS real if we make it so...! If you put the courageous shout out there you will find more than one willing comrade to help you weave that vibe... And we all know deep down... "it's always and only our Vibe that attracts our Tribe"..!
CANINE CODE OF CONDUCT:
- Dogs are welcome strictly under the following conditions:
* All owners MUST register their dog's attendance via a "dog ticket" option, and have read all info related to that ticket.
* The owner must be certain that the dog will be friendly with new dogs, people, and children, even when surprised or when owner is not present
* Owners will watch for and make every effort to pick up the dogs poos, as well as any other dog poos that are flagged
* The dog must be kept away from wildlife
* Dogs may not roam around the event unsupervised, they must either be on a leash or within close proximity to their owner
* The dog will not be making excessive noise, be disruptive in workshops or at night.
** All dog owners are to be aware that NPWS has undertaken their wild dog/fox baiting program in the national park that borders and surrounds the property. A dog ingesting one of these baits will result in death. Please be vigilant to keep an eye on your dog, and what it's eating at ALL times.
~ Lastly but most importantly... Please just bring your SELF - How we look after our own needs defines the true capacity for our resource in helping others.
No more. No less xoxo
We can’t wait to see, hold, hear, and simply share the fact of being alive with you there...
