About the Artists
Mimi Gilbert (Ojai, CA)
Mimi Gilbert is an independent artist who has spent the better part of the last 10 years living, touring and creating music in Australia and New Zealand. Previously based in Melbourne, Mimi is now back in Ojai/ Los Angeles. Hitting the road with their band this summer, they will playing songs from their debut record “Grew Inside the Water’ and many from their upcoming record ‘undrowning.’
Sometimes the songs mimi write are so quiet you have to push your ear towards them, sometimes they are a raging river of loud emotion and sometimes, just a little tune to make us laugh. Having got their start playing music at age 15 busking on the streets and train stations of the USA west coast, mimi finds themself feeling most alive when singing for real breathing humans.
Wryn (Lompoc, CA)
California-based artist Wryn crafts music as a space for self-discovery, resilience, and identity. Known for their introspective lyrics and raw sound, Wryn navigates both personal and collective struggles with a unique depth. Their debut single on Righteous Babe Records, “Steady,” produced by Bella Blasko (The National) and featuring JT Bates and Mike Lewis, serves as a grounding anthem—a personal hymn and call for self-compassion that invites listeners to find strength and connection in vulnerability.
Kidi Band (Los Angeles, CA)
Kidi Band is a Los Angeles-based trio that combines unlikely material and uncommon instrumentation.
