Description

Ready to explore whether your food or beverage idea is truly worth pursuing?

Catalyst Foundations is a practical, facilitated 5-hour cohort workshop, complemented by a 1-hour one-to-one post workshop follow-up session focused on your project with further Q&A and guidance to move your project forward.

Designed specifically for first-time and early-stage food and beverage founders, the programme helps participants gain clarity before committing significant time and money to a new venture. Delivered in a small online cohort (up to 6 start-ups/businesses), this highly interactive workshop combines structured tools, real-world F&B examples, and peer discussion to help you evaluate your concept through a commercial lens by learning how to:

  • Assess market opportunities and estimate the potential size of your target market.

  • Develop the strategic foundations of your business concept.

  • Apply design thinking principles to identify capability gaps, risks, and key assumptions and how to address these.

  • Build a realistic understanding of what it takes to create a scalable and investable F&B business.

  • Build readiness for the next steps of working with supply chains, co-manufactures and customers

  • Better help you articulate why and your place as an innovator in the world

Practical pre-work ensures you arrive prepared and ready to maximise the value of the session. Participants will also receive a workbook containing practical tools and frameworks that will be introduced during the workshop and that can be further developed afterwards in preparation for the one-to-one follow-up session.

This is not an accelerator programme or a pitch-development course - its a practical introduction and orientation to F&B commercialisation, helping you make informed decisions about how to move your concept forward and navigate becoming a food and beverage supplier.
