Catch the Light Afterglow- A Rose & Rae Lane Gathering
Description
Catch the Light: Afterglow
Sunday 05/07/2026 @ 1:30pm
After the beautiful response and overwhelming support from our very first Catch the Light gathering, I’ve decided to open the table once again for another slow countryside afternoon of creativity, connection, and golden light.
This gathering has intentionally been moved an hour earlier than the previous event, in hopes of giving everyone a little extra sunlight time to slowly wander, explore the property, and soak in the surroundings before the afternoon fades.
Settle into a slow golden-hour afternoon beneath the trees, where everything softens just a little and you’re invited to simply arrive as you are.
This is a gathering created with care, where connection leads, and creativity gently anchors the experience.
You’ll be guided in creating your own sun catcher, not with pressure for perfection, but as a quiet, grounding way to be present and let conversation unfold naturally around you.
This is not your typical step-by-step workshop. While we all gather around the same creative concept, each piece will become completely unique to the person creating it. You’ll have full creative freedom to choose your own colours, textures, beads, and arrangement styles to make something that feels entirely yours.
To allow you to fully settle into the experience, all frames will be thoughtfully prepared prior to your arrival, with wire already secured into the vintage-inspired wooden frames, including hanging details and crystal elements attached. This means you can simply arrive, sit down, and begin creating.
A large, curated selection of glass beads, softly toned crystals, and decorative elements will be available on the day. Please note that frames and bead selections may vary slightly from images shared due to sourcing and availability, however every effort is made to ensure each piece remains beautiful, intentional, and thoughtfully styled.
Light and thoughtful prompts will gently spark connection throughout the afternoon, creating space for conversation that feels relaxed, genuine, and unforced.
As the afternoon unfolds, you’re welcome to wander and take in the beauty of the surroundings, with horses roaming freely, kangaroos grazing nearby, and butterflies drifting through the open countryside. It’s a space that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and settle into the moment.
As you arrive and settle in, a grazing cup filled with a selection of savoury bites and sweet treats will be waiting for you, alongside tea, coffee, and warm drinks to enjoy throughout the afternoon.
If you have any severe food allergies or dietary requirements, please let me know prior to the event so I can do my best to accommodate you.
Everything has been thoughtfully prepared so you can simply ease in, create slowly, and enjoy the experience.
Please note due to the nature of this gathering and the uneven outdoor property terrain, unfortunately this particular event is not wheelchair accessible. However, there will be future Rose & Rae Lane gatherings held in more accessible locations that I would absolutely love to share with you.
A clean and maintained portable toilet is available on site for guest use.
In the case of poor weather, the event will still go ahead. A beautiful backup location has been arranged within the same property — a rustic old dairy shed that allows us to remain warm, comfortable, and gathered together while still keeping the atmosphere and experience intact. Unless weather requires otherwise, the event will be held outdoors beneath the trees.
A small and intentional gathering.
Where conversation flows, creativity anchors us, and connection grows.
