    Event description

    Embracing Superdiversity

Designing practice responses that sustain equity, inclusion and high expectations

Educators who are committed to equity recognise that all children have the right to participate in inclusive early childhood settings, regardless of their circumstances, strengths, gender,

capabilities or diverse ways of doing and being.

    EYLF – V2.0, 2022 p17

The updated EYLF has invited educators to strengthen their commitment to equity, inclusion and high expectations and design a learning context that maximises learning development and well-being for every child regardless of life circumstances.  This deeply ethical commitment demands more than a week’s celebration or a few resources – it demands pedagogical considerations that look for intentional teaching and learning opportunities shaped by reconciliation, rights and recognition.

In the interactive workshop leaders and educators will explore the meaning of these big concepts and how they might be implemented in everyday practice.
