She composed, acted, spoke five languages, played De Sade’s ‘Justine’, and Berio’s muse. Though she was more of a ghost-writer than a ‘great composer’, Cathy Berberian was more than ‘a singer’. Her voice and ideas are stamped upon some of the greatest music of the 20th century. This cabaret show celebrates the great diva in word, deed and music, travelling a journey across styles and eras.
