Event description

Come along and learn about emerging Carbon and Environmental markets, the Carbon Cycle, progress towards Carbon Neutral and what it all means for your grazing business. The workshops provide an opportunity to hear from DPI Beef & Carbon Extension officer, Billie Standfield and respected Carbon Farmer & Advisor Christophe Bur along with Healthy Land & Water staff on the following topics so you can make informed decisions in a rapidly evolving and often confusing space:

  • The Carbon Cycle and Carbon Emissions in agriculture.
  • Carbon Neutral – what it means at industry and farm level.
  • How to develop a Carbon Account for your grazing business.
  • Practical options for managing carbon and emissions on your farm.
  • Carbon Farming – what’s involved, methods, opportunities and risks for your business.
  • Other emerging environmental markets.

Morning tea and lunch are provided.
