After a successful world premiere season at the 2024 Adelaide Fringe, emerging Malaysian-Australian actor Danielle Lim returns to Goodwood Theatre & Studios for a one-night only performance of her award-winning show, Caught In Between.
Centering around an Asian-Australian experience, Caught In Between explores the possibility of existing within two worlds at once and what it means to be a migrant. Combining original soundscapes, video projections, and live interactive storytelling, this multi-disciplinary work blurs the lines between Malaysian and Australian cultures. As active participants, the audience is invited to travel through memories, objects, and time, uncovering emotions, challenges, and decisions that can shape the lives of migrants.
Winner of a 2024 Weekly Fringe Award. This project has been proudly supported by Carclew, ActNow Theatre and the Adelaide Fringe Fund through its development and world premiere at the Fringe.
Content warnings: large moving visual projections, flashing lights, reference to suicide, and discussions of body image, domestic violence and trauma-related incidents.
