Cavs' Beginners courses are suited to those who have never fenced before or have not fenced for a long time. Participants must be aged 14+ years.

This 10 week course covers footwork, blade work, skills development and bouting - introducing you to all 3 fencing weapons (foil, epee and sabre).

The course cost is inclusive of...

6 weeks of dedicated beginners lessons (running 2:30-4:30 pm)
4 weeks joining the main club group for training and electric fencing (from 2:00pm to 4:30pm)
Tuition and equipment hire for the full 10 weeks

Term 1: Sat, 08 Feb - Sat, 12 Apr
Term 2: Sat, 03 May - Sat, 05 Jul
Term 3: Sat, 26 Jul - Sat, 27 Sep
Term 4: Sat 18 Oct - Sat 13 Dec

* Please note: Term 4 is a shorter 9-week course due to the timing of the school terms, consisting of 6 weeks dedicated sessions + 3 weeks with the main group.

Key notes:

Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure a timely start.
Clothing - please ensure you wear long track pants and appropriate, closed sports shoes.
Parking is available underground beneath the ECU Sport & Fitness Centre (Building 21) - entry off Learoyd St - or opposite the building, next to the student village.
For the course to proceed, there must be a minimum of four enrolled participants.
