Event description

Cawthron is running public tours of its laboratory and technology shed.

Book yourself a spot on one of 10 tours that we are running at our main Halifax Street site on Saturday 19 October.

During each hour-long tour, you'll progress through four stations in the Cawthron lab and tech shed where our staff will guide you through hands-on activities and demonstrations that highlight our work in these facilities. Tickets are very limited so if you have visited these facilities in recent years, please be considerate of those who have never had the chance to do this before.

Please note;

  • Each tour is limited to 12 people.
  • You must wear closed footwear and any PPE gear that we provide.
  • Children must be aged over the age of eight years and accompanied by a parent/caregiver.
  • No food or drinks are allowed to be taken on the tour.
  • Please ensure you arrive five minutes before the start time of your tour. If you arrive late for any reason, you may miss your tour and it’s unlikely we’ll have capacity to accommodate you on an alternative tour.
  • Whilst the tour takes an hour, please allow 90 minutes for this event as there may be delays that are beyond our control
  • No more than four tickets can be booked by any one person.

This event is free to students and under 25-year-olds. A suggested $10 koha is requested for general admission, or pay what you can afford.

Disclaimers:

We will be taking photos at this event for promotional purposes. If you object to being photographed, please notify Cawthron staff on arrival.
All registered participants will be added to the Friends of Cawthron email list. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time.
