Christian Business Network (CBN) Brisbane will be hosting breakfast with The Hon Stuart Robert on the 13th September 2024 at 6.30am at the Queensland Parliamentary Annex.

Hon Stuart Robert is the Founder and CEO of Coram Deo Capital, a bespoke private investment firm with expertise in investing global capital into Australia. Stuart retired from the Australian Parliament’s House of Representatives in 2023 after 16 years serving his nation. During this period Stuart held Ministerial positions across three  successive Australian Governments over 9 years with extensive treasury, finance and investment experience. This included being a senior member of Cabinet on both the Expenditure Review Committee and the Covid National Security Committee during Australia’s world leading Covid response from 2020 - 2022. 

Further senior ministerial positions included:
• Minister for Employment, Workforce, Skills, Small and Family Business (overseeing unemployment dropping to the lowest level in 50 years)
• Minister responsible for data and digital policy in the Commonwealth Government
• Minister for Education and Youth
• Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (the biggest disability Insurance scheme in the world)
• Minister for Government Services (overseeing AUD$150 billion in payments per annum)
• Minister for Human Services
• Commonwealth Assistant Treasurer
• Minister for Veterans’ Affairs
• Assistant Minister for Defence

Stuart served on the following Commonwealth Government Cabinet level committees:
• Chair of the Service Delivery Coordination committee
• Expenditure Review Committee
• National Security Committee
• Defence Investment Committee
• National Shipbuilding Committee

Stuart chaired the following three, out of only eight standing, National Cabinet committees that included all States and Territories ministers:
• National Digital and Data Ministers meeting
• National Skills Ministers meeting
• National Education Ministers meeting

Prior to entering Parliament, Stuart was an entrepreneur and company owner, having built and exited a medium sized Information Technology company that was twice recognised as one of the
fastest 200 growing firms in Australia.

Stuart is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy and a top 10 graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon. He served in the Australian Army for 12 years as an Intelligence Officer, including operational service overseas.

Stuart has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Masters of Information Technology and a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours). Stuart is married and has three sons and is active in his local
church and wider community.

A note about getting car parking and other options to access Queensland Parliament:

Queensland Parliament has no public parking facilities.

It is located at the corner of George and Alice Streets in the City and is within easy walking distance of the Brisbane CBD.

Public transport options include:

1. Busses - the free 'City Loop' council bus service which circles the CBD has a stop on George Street, near the intersection with Alice Street, that is across the road from Parliament House.

2. City Cat Ferry Terminal (the QUT Gardens Point Terminal) is located at the rear of Parliament House.

Ride Share - ask to be dropped at the Parliamentary Annex in Alice St, Brisbane.

Parking - go to www.secureparking.com.au and look at car parks that are closest to Queensland Parliament.  Prebooking generally saves time and money.

QUT Gardens Point has parking available on a "pay on exit" basis under the freeway.
