Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations | Mount Gambier Bus Service

Hitch a ride from Mount Gambier to Coonawarra this October.

If you’re based in the Blue Lake city, wine’not ditch your keys and jump aboard the Mount Gambier –  Coonawarra Transfer Bus! Operating exclusively on Saturdays 3, 10 and 17 October.

MOUNT GAMBIER RETURN + HOP ON HOP OFF | $40 PP

Start in Mount Gambier and make a day of it in Coonawarra, with all the benifits of hop on hop off service before returning back to Mount Gambier. 

10:00am – Depart Mount Gambier
Approx. 10:45am – Arrive Penola Visitor Information Centre. Hop-on hop-off service commences from 11am. 
4:00-4:30pm – Final collection through Coonawarra, returning via Penola
Approx. 5:30pm – Arrive Mount Gambier

Return ticket: $40 per person, including Mount Gambier transfers and all-day access to the Coonawarra shuttle.

KIDS TRAVEL FREE! Must be accompanied by Adult Day Pass ticket holder.

DROP OFF FIRST STOP: Passengers are required to nominate first stop preference at the time of booking, to assist with route scheduling.

HOP ON - HOP OFF:  The bus will be cruising along the Riddoch Highway (aka Coonawarra Strip), between the hours of 11am and 4pm, with transfers from the Penola Information Centre on the hour between 11am and 2pm. Passengers will be encouraged to contact the driver in advance of their move to the next destination.  An estimated time of collection will be provided directly by the driver, subject to their position along the route at the time of request.

END OF DAY COLLECTION:  

For event goers situated at surrounding wineries DiGiorgio Family Wines | Brand's Laira Coonawarra | Redman Wines | Ottelia | Wynns Coonawarra | Zema Estate. It is requested the passengers meet at the designated collection point,  1 Memorial Drive - Coonawarra Township, from 4pm for 4:15pm Departure.

Passengers located at other wineries along the Strip must communicate directly with the shuttle driver to arrange for collection from 4pm onwards. The driver will confirm the collection time, based on your location.
