CCF SA Member Forum: Workforce Pathways

Finding and retaining skilled workers remains one of the key challenges facing South Australia’s civil construction industry.

Join CCF SA for a FREE member-exclusive briefing on new and emerging workforce pathways designed to help employers attract, train and develop their workforce. 

Hear updates on: 

• Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeships – Flinders University’s new pathway developed in partnership with CCF SA, commencing in February 2027, which will combine university study with on-the-job experience. 

• Semi-skilled migration & gap training initiative – a proposed initiative in partnership with the South Australian Skills Commission to support skilled workforce attraction and address industry skills gaps. 

• Industry Accelerated Apprenticeship Program (IAAP) – an accelerated pathway, only available through CCF SA’s GTO, Civil Apprenticeships and Careers Ltd, which will fast-track civil construction qualifications from 36 to just 18 months. 

The briefing will provide an overview of each initiative and how businesses can get involved. We are also keen to hear from members on the workforce and skill challenges they are facing and opportunities to build the skills we need for the future.  

This event is aimed at business owners, senior managers, HR and workforce personnel, and anyone involved in workforce attraction, training and retention across the civil construction sector.
