CDQld Seminar with Peter Westoby
Event description
Peter Westoby has been engaged in some exciting accompanying of development work in Nepal since 2018 and more recently when invited to speak the recent World Social Forum (Kathmandu, February 2024)
Join us for input, a discussion and virtual drinks via ZOOM
Peter has just returned from an exciting trip to Nepal.
As part of that journey, he had a second opportunity (the first was in 2018) to observe and learn from the people-centred community development practice of a 26-year-old Nepalese NGO called Sahakarmi Samaj (which means ‘co-workers’).
For Peter, it is some of the best community development practices he has ever seen, working at micro, mezzo, macro and meta-levels.
As such, you are invited to a session that includes a short input and then a conversation to hear about this work and use it to reflect on our practice.
The format will include one hour of input, a Q&A discussion, and then 30 minutes of online socialising and drinks (yes, have a drink nearby). Peter will host it.
If you have not already done so, you will need to register for a free Zoom account and download the Zoom software. You can register for your Zoom Account here...
