Event description

Note this is a CEA member only event

This first workshop of the CEA Literacy Teacher Program will take place in-person and will be facilitated by Jodie Hummerston, an accomplished LLN and VET specialist.

Program Outcomes: This course will provide participants with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge to work with adults who:

  • Want to develop their literacy skills in stand-alone adult literacy learning contexts.

  • Are enrolled in other contexts and require literacy support.

  • For experienced teachers, the course will provide the skills, knowledge and tools to deliver future professional development sessions for colleagues.

The program consists of two face to face workshops, some prework and practice and 2 - 3 online sessions to help embed learning and provide support.

The first workshop covers Modules One and Two of the program:

Module 1: Who's in the room

Module 2: Let's Read
