Studio1’s Workshop Labs return in 2025 for the Masterclass Series!

Join these three local dance, movement and physical theatre practitioners across April for 2 hours workshops. The Masterclass Series is designed for movers and makers looking to deepen their practice, expand their knowledge and connect with local professional artists.

Cecilia Martin 

In this workshop, Cecilia will share her practice in moving in and out of the floor: how to ease into it, surprise it, love it and not hit it so damn hard. Inspired her recent years of study in Brussels under David Zambrano, Cecilia will guide participants through movement inspired by Zambrano's Flying Low practice, in combination with her experience in over a decade of performing acrobatic floor work. We will explore how to utilise these techniques in structured improvisation, as well as choreographic sequences and specific "moves". 

Catered for both floor work aficionados and those with a basic understanding, all levels of experience will be nurtured and challenged.
