Sustaining Our Work and Ourselves as Celebrants

DATE: 31 July 2022, 9am-3.30pm

VENUE: You can attend a 'Branch Huddle' with members of your local branch (the local branch venue will be advised by branches at a later date), or as a 'Lounge Lizard' from the comfort of your own home.

Note: not all branches will be offering a venue-based ‘huddle’.

  • Wellington Branch - The conference will be hosted (as it was last year) from the Lychgate Chapel in Johnsonville and Wellington members will be able to join with us in person.
  • Auckland Branch - in Auckland.
  • Bay of Plenty Branch - TWO OPTIONS - one in Tauranga, one in Whakatane.
  • Hawkes Bay - in Hastings.
  • Canterbury Branch - in Christchurch.
  • Southern Branch - TWO OPTIONS - one in Wanaka, one in Dunedin.

Once registered, your details will be shared with the local branch committee. The venue will be advised by branches at a later date. If not intending to join a huddle, you can register as a lounge lizard. You may find you can join up with others who have registered as lounge lizards closer to the time.

This conference is open to both members and non-members of the Celebrants’ Association. If you have a passion for celebrant work of any description or are just keen to learn more about the work a celebrant does, we invite you to come along to this event.

Given feedback from last year’s successful event, the conference team has shortened the programme to three fabulous speakers with a focus on offering members tools to build resilience.  As always, we’ll hear from Jeff Montgomery and will hold our AGM. All sessions are plenary sessions where all participants attend together. There is the opportunity for huddle members to have a post-conference conversation and/or dinner together (optional and to be arranged at branch/huddle level).

This is a fabulous opportunity to connect  and learn from each other online and will offer new directions for learning and professional work. Most importantly though, is the opportunity to recharge, refill and where possible, to connect in person at branch level. The content will be aligned to the three domains of the Celebrants Aotearoa Bodies of Knowledge: Professional Practice, Professional Knowledge, and Professional Education and associated competencies.

The ticket types available will be shown when you get your tickets. Early bird sales close 31 May. All ticket sales for this event will end by midnight at the end of the day on 24 July -- that is your last day to get tickets.

All individuals attending the conference need to register through Humanitix and pay individually, even if 'Lounge Lizards' end up viewing the conference with a celebrant colleague. This will ensure all costs in providing this conference for you are covered e.g. speaker fees, technology etc.
