Celebrating 150 years of the Bassendean Pillar Post Box

Celebrate a local landmark with an evening dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Bassendean Pillar Box on the corner or North Road and Surrey Street. Hear from the Mayor and historian Sue Hobson as they share the story of this much-loved post box, drawing on Sue’s publication Cast Iron Pillar Boxes of Western Australia.

Guests will also have the opportunity to view shortlisted entries from the postcard competition, displayed throughout the evening.
