Dr. Umar Johnson returns to San Diego for a special evening at the WorldBeat Cultural Center commemorating the 117th solar return of Ghana’s first prime minister and president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was a leading voice of Pan-Africanism who believed that the freedom of Ghana was inseparable from the liberation and unity of Africa and African people throughout the diaspora. His vision of African unity, self-determination, and collective progress continues to influence Pan-African movements around the world.
