Harmony Week is a State Government multicultural community relations initiative. It celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity and is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. This event is supported by the Department of Sports and Cultural Industries as part of the Harmony Week.

The Harmony week runs from 15–21 March every year and encourages everyone to experience, explore and appreciate WA's wealth of cultural, religious, linguistic and ethnic diversity.

Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Week. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect. You can choose to wear something orange for the event to support cultural diversity and an inclusive Australia.
