    Event description

It seems like almost every day is an awareness-raising day for something doesn’t it? Earth Day, Plastic Free July, National Recycling Week, Polar Bear Day....the list goes on!

Choosing which event dates your service wants to get involved in over the year and how you want to celebrate, helps you get clear on your focus and goals. If we try to do everything, it can become so overwhelming that we end up doing nothing well.

Eco-celebrations are the bee's knees for embedding sustainability and environmental education into your planning cycle across the whole year. Join Carolyn Luder from Little Sprouts as she provides practical tips on:

    • How to use awareness-raising dates sustainably in your planning toolkit
    • Preventing overwhelm
    • Getting clear on your existing commitments and priorities
    • Clarifying what outcomes you want to achieve for children, educators, families and the Earth
    • Tips for combining a proactive as well as child-led approach to planning and celebrating 'green' events.

This training will have you feeling inspired with fresh ideas for fostering meaningful sustainability actions and environmental learning opportunities in early learning.
