Hear from our inspiring guest speakers Victoria McKenzie-McHarg and Linh Do and celebrate the powerfully important role that women play in the conservation sector.

SPEAKERS
Victoria McKenzie-McHarg is passionate about the power of women’s collaborative leadership to create systemic social change. She has led community-driven campaigns for government action on climate change working with some of Australia’s leading NGOs and progressive businesses.
Victoria is currently the Strategic Director of Women’s Environmental Leadership Australia (WELA), and a Steering Committee member of the Forrest Gateway Project. Victoria has previously held roles as the Manager of Strategy and Planning at Bank Australia, Chair of the Climate Action Network Australia, and as Climate Campaign Manager at the Australian Conservation Foundation and Environment Victoria.
Linh Do is passionate about climate justice and social inequality. She has spent the last decade working across advocacy and engagement, media and social enterprise. Linh is the director of the Wattle Fellowship at the University of Melbourne and a board member at Climate Action Network Australia.
In the lead up to the Paris negotiations, she served as the publisher and editor-in-chief of The Verb. There she worked with a global team to localise and humanise stories from the UN climate change negotiations. Linh was most recently Australia and Pacific lead for The Climate Reality Project, Al Gore’s climate change leadership program, and brought over 800 people together in Brisbane during Climate Week Queensland.
Linh has worked with a wide array of individuals from high school students to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the Reuters Foundation. She is a co-founder of the technology start-up OurSay, formerly led the community organising program at the Australian Conservation Foundation and has worked with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on communicating policy.
MASTER OF CEREMONIES
Tanya Ha is an award-winning Australian environmental campaigner, author, broadcaster, science journalist, and sustainability researcher. She is also a media commentator on science and environmental issues, a behaviour change researcher, and was a delegate to the Australia 2020 Summit.

COVID-19
All guests attending the event at Zinc are required to be fully vaccinated (have received two vaccinations) for COVID-19 and will be required to show proof of vaccination upon entry.
Please note, in the case of COVID-19 restrictions requiring the venue to reduce guest numbers, tickets will be refunded in the order of purchase.
