Celebrating Women in Conservation breakfast 2026
Event description
Bush Heritage Australia and Trust for Nature (VIC) warmly invite you to join us in Melbourne or online for our annual Celebrating Women in Conservation Breakfast.
In a time of environmental crisis there is a role for everyone to play at every level and across all sectors to create collective action. It's leaders like our exceptional 2026 keynote speaker, Lisa Miller, that shape this vision and spearhead change, recognising that nature is the foundation of life, business supports livelihoods, and people will be responsible for regenerating ecosystems. When all these factors align, we have the recipe for a nature-positive world.
We're excited to bring the conservation sector and its allies together to share this great event with you in its 15th year. We hope to see you in Melbourne or online!
LISA MILLER, CEO, WEDGETAIL
Lisa Miller is the Founder and CEO of Wedgetail, an organisation accelerating the global shift to a nature-positive future.
With a background in zoology and evolutionary biology, Lisa began her career as a scientist at the Australian Museum before moving into the tech sector in 2004. Over the next 18 years, she built and led product and growth teams at some of Australia’s most successful companies, including Canva.
Driven by a deep commitment to the natural world, Lisa launched Wedgetail in 2022 to unlock sustainable investment for biodiversity. Since then, the organisation has committed over $20 million to projects across 20 countries – all with a vision of a thriving future for nature, business, and people.
Wedgetail’s approach is grounded in learning by doing. That philosophy comes to life at The Quoin – a 7,000-hectare living laboratory in Lutruwita/Tasmania where cutting-edge technologies and regenerative practices are tested on the ground.
Note, Keynote presentation will commence at approx 9am AEDT
