Celestia Photographica: Astrophotography Workshop (Basic Astro-Scape and Wide-Field Astro-Photography)
Learn how to capture the beauty and majesty of the Cosmos with this basic introduction to Astro-Scape Photography.
Astro-Scape Photography is the fine art of combining the natural beauty of Earth’s landscapes with the stunning night sky.
This two-hour theoretical course teaches you how to set up your camera, how to utilise the equipment you have and what equipment you might need in the future. The evening is followed by a 2.5-hour practical lesson under the stars to gather your data ready for processing.
The following week, students will learn how to calibrate, stack and process their data to achieve a stunning image of nature’s beauty. The processing class will be held in the GDC’s “Virtual Classroom” (aka Zoom) the following week (date yet to be determined).
Students must have their own transport and photographic equipment: Camera, Tripod, Cable release, Wide Angle Lens.
Date: Sunday, 29 June 2025
Time: 2:15PM to 4:15PM theory; 6:30PM - 9:30PM practical class
Venue: Theory class to be held at the Ningaloo Centre, Mandu Mandu Room, practical location to be advised.
Price: day course, $45.00 per person.
