Celestial Bodies & Queer Idols - Jarrad Levy Debut Exhibition Opening Night
Description
Join us for the opening night of Celestial Bodies & Queer Idols - the debut exhibition of Photographic Artist Jarrad Levy. Captured in the first three years of his time in Naarm (Melbourne), these portraits capture queer artists, advocates and space-makers that have left an imprint on the artist's identity and understanding of what community means.
Enter into an immersive warehouse space where queer artists take on otherworldly personas, ranging from ethereal renditions of astrological bodies to camp personifications of queerness in technicolor. Jarrad brings to the audience the idea that our immediate community holds the power to inspire us and guide us to be our most authentic selves.
Alongside the work on display, there will be several performances from featured queer artists running from 8PM. This is a free event. Refreshments will be provided.

His queerness informs his practice through vibrant colour palettes and celebrating the beauty in everything.
