Building on the groundswell of support over the past few months for dub reggae soundsystem events around Sydney, Celtic Roots HiFi is proud to present, for the first time ever in Sydney, legendary dub producer Vibronics AKA the Future Sound of DUB!!

Vibronics - the future sound of DUB!

For any dub enthusiast or soundsystem head, Vibronics needs no introduction. Steve Vibronics has been making music and performing sessions for decades.

A long time legend of the soundsystem scene in the UK, Steve has run the highly successful Scoops record label since 1999.

In 2001, Vibronics released his debut album, Dubliftment, which was widely considered a groundbreaking album for its blend of Dub, Dubstep, and Jungle. This was followed by a string of critically acclaimed albums, including Universal Love, Dub Italizer, and Dub Tribute.

Vibronics’ sound is characterized by heavy basslines, crisp productions, and plenty of phasor, echos and other classic dub sound effects. Vibronics music fuses original dub sounds and techniques with modern electronic production, equipment and sounds.

Steve also runs the hugely popular Life in Dub podcast, conducting in-depth interviews with people who live their lives in dub and reggae.

Here at Celtic Roots, we are huge fans of Steve's music and you will almost always hear us playing tunes from the Scoops label in our sessions, so it's a real treat to be able to host Steve on the soundsystem.

Details

The session is on a Friday and will run from 5pm till 12am, featuring the Celtic Roots crew and some of Sydney's finest reggae selectas, all played through our heavyweight hand built dub soundsystem - built and operated right here in Brookvale. Come straight after work, this session will be the perfect way to wind down after a long week at work!

There will be food on offer, and the crew at Manly Spirits will be serving up all your favourite drinks to keep you energised through the night!!

So make it a date and don't be late - tickets for this one are expected to fly out the door, and when they're gone, they're gone!
