Social Walks are all about getting outside, getting moving and meeting new people. Come on your own, bring a mate or bring the family. Everyone is welcome. 💛

👟 Start time: 9:00am sharp
📏 Distance: Approx. 6km
⏱️ Duration: Approx. 1.5 hours
🏁 Finish: Centennial Park Homestead around 10:30am
We’ll meet at Centennial Homestead at 8:45am and set off at 9:00am sharp. From there, we’ll make our way through the heart of Centennial Park, taking in open parklands, tree-lined paths, gardens and ponds along the way.
Our loop will take us past Federation Pavilion, Centennial Park Labyrinth, Willow Pond, Duck Pond, Kensington Ponds, Busbys Pond and Paperbark Grove before making our way back to Centennial Homestead.
We’ll finish back at Centennial Homestead, where anyone who’d like to can stay for a coffee and chat afterwards.
This walk goes ahead rain, hail or shine.

- What can I expect?
This is a friendly, easy-paced Social Walk designed for connection, movement and fresh air.
Expect beautiful bay views, scenic boardwalk sections, peaceful creekside walking and a stop at the Olivers Hill Lookout.
This walk is perfect for anyone wanting a casual Sunday morning outing with a great community vibe.
- Who can come?
Everyone is welcome. Whether you come on your own, with a friend, or you’re brand new to Social Walks, we’d love to have you join us.
- What should I bring?
Please bring:
- Water
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Weather appropriate clothing
- A hat and sunscreen if it’s sunny
- A rain jacket if wet weather is forecast
- Is there public transport to the event location?
The closest train station is Frankston Station. From there, attendees can walk, catch a local bus or a short taxi or rideshare to the start point.
- What happens if it rains?
All our walks go ahead rain, hail or shine.
Events may be cancelled in the case of extreme weather. Check the Facebook page for updates
- Is this suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Social Walks events are designed to be welcoming for all fitness levels. Check the walk rating and distance on the event page to find one that suits you.
- Can I bring a dog?
Yes, dogs are permitted on this Social Walk. Please note, they must be on a leash at all times during the walk.
- What if I am running late?
We aim to start on time out of respect for everyone who arrives as scheduled, so we’re unable to wait for late arrivals.
