2025 Central Coast Alumni Celebration
Description
Join us for our 60th Anniversary Central Coast Alumni Celebration, featuring an In Conversation exploring the topic Local News to Global Headlines: A Journalists Journey through Truth and Storytelling with alumnus Adam McIlrick, Managing Editor of SBS World News.
Adam will take us inside the stories behind the headlines - sharing moments from his extraordinary journey, from his early days at NBN and Channel Nine, to being shadowed by the KGB in Belarus, and covering the lead up to Trump’s 2016 election in the United States.
In conversation with media and communications expert Dean and Head of School of Humanities, Creative Industries and Social Sciences Professor Kate Nash, Adam's reflections will offer a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the realities of journalism and the power of storytelling to shape how we understand the world.
