Description

Resilience In-House Toolkit Launch: A practical toolkit for community-led climate resilience action

Join Jesuit Social Services' Centre for Just Places, Wyndham Park Community Centre and Network West for the online launch of the Resilience In-House Toolkit.

Developed and tested with neighbourhood houses in Melbourne's west as part of the Resilience In-House project, the resource provides tools and guidance for community engagement, local resilience planning and collective action.

Who should attend?
Anyone with an interest in supporting neighbourhood houses, community centres and local communities to respond to climate impacts and build resilience through community-centred, place-based planning and action.

This session will be relevant for practitioners working in community organisations, local government, climate resilience and adaptation professionals, and others working to enable local communities and organisations to build resilience.

What to expect
In this interactive 45-minute webinar, you will:

  • Learn about the Resilience In-House approach and how it supports local climate resilience.

  • Hear lessons from implementation across four neighbourhood houses in Melbourne’s west.

  • Explore tools for community engagement, local data gathering and action planning.

  • Discover creative and nature-based approaches to building resilience.

  • Connect with others working in climate adaptation, resilience and community development.

All attendees will receive access to the Toolkit following the session.

The Resilience In-House project was generously funded by the Greater Melbourne Foundation.
