Description
Roll up your sleeves and get dirty - its clay time!
During this 4 week mini-hand built ceramics course, you'll make a small pinch pot followed by a larger planter & saucer. Ceramicist Chris Ellis will take you through typical processes of pottery, so you can get a feel for it and understand more about the materials and techniques involved.
Clay will be provided and can be collected at the NECCHi Neighbourhood Houses (East Coburg & Newlands) on Friday 1st October or Tuesday 5th October from 10-4PM.
If you are unable to collect the clay, but live in the Moreland area, let us know and we can do a contactless drop at your door.
By the end of the course you'll have some beautiful hand built vessels, and Chris will talk you through different firing and glazing options. Please note: this course does not include firing or glazing your items, but information will be provided about how and where you can do that yourself.
