50 years after his death, Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols remains a beloved cycle unrivelled of repertoire for young singers.
Luminescence Children’s Choir joins one of Australia’s most acclaimed harpists, Alice Giles, to mark this anniversary year with a performance of Benjamin Britten’s Before Britten’s dazzling cycle of medieval texts is a chance to hear Luminesence’s newest member Josephine Brereton take centre stage, performing Per Nørgård’s 1975 Fons Laetitiae - a meditation on Marian melodies, heavenly beauty, and redeeming joy.
