Event description
Conversations with thinkers, lovers and makers in a post-COVID world
Select Tuesdays at lunchtime in Spring
Put CERES' Spring conversation hours in your calendar. Get inspired by local
legends of Permaculture, new economics, regen-ag and climate change education.
Building on our Weekly Webinars program, we bring you more moderated lunchtime Q&A panels featuring local legends with globally relevant ideas about regenerative futures.
Building on the resurgence in home-based activities as a result of country-wide lockdowns, we deep dive into the use of craft as art or therapy, as a conduit for social justice, as a means to reduce environmental impact and as a necessary tool in the pursuit of happiness. In this discussion, we'll explore ideas around the (anti) commodification of craft, revival of long lost skills and may even delve into the radical crafting movement. Join Felicia Semple (Curator of The Craft Sessions and Founder of Soul Craft Festival), Ilka White (Artist and Teacher whose practice spans textiles, sculpture, cross-disciplinary collaboration and art-in-community), and Cesar Marulanda (visionary plastics recycler and Founder of AORACREO). If you know, as we do, that making is good for the soul, then tune in to hear kindred spirits speak about their passion for all things creative.
Warm your hearts, bring your lunch and reimagine a better future post-COVID!
