The Certified Innovation Professional (CIP) Programme, developed by the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI), provides a globally recognised certification that equips you with the tools, processes, and mindset to drive breakthrough innovation in your organisation.
A CIP is an innovation professional, who (1) demonstrates an advanced understanding of business innovation and innovation management and (2) has the capability to drive business innovation from the ideation to commercialisation. The CIP includes GIMI Level 1 (Innovation Associate) and GIMI Level 2 (Innovation Master).
Delivered online by the Australian Innovation Management Institute (AIMI).

Programme Structure:
GIMI Level 1 – Associate
Demystifying Innovation (learn what business innovation is; gain tools, techniques, and the right mindset)
Innovation Process and Innovation Intent (agree on where and where not to innovate; set growth targets; set investment profile)
Opportunity Insights (look at future shaping trends; identify insights and new ideas; organise into a business opportunity map)
Fields of Play (define new areas for the organisation to play; prioritise and develop it into a compelling new opportunity)
Business Concepts (generate new business concepts; conduct reverse engineer tactic to validate the concepts)
Business Case (summarise the concept it in a compelling way; learn what is required to sell the business case)
GIMI Level 1 Exam
GIMI Level 2 – Master
During the Level 1, candidates will work on a project where they apply the innovation process and tools and obtain the Level 2: Innovation Master and the title, Certified Innovation Professional.
Work on a project (you will use a challenge to apply the innovation process and tools learned in the masterclasses of Level 1)
Apply innovation process on a project (group work, mentoring, and show & tell)
GIMI Level 2 Final Submission (refine, submit, and present documentation).
