Certified ScrumMaster Workshop with AI Governance Focus

In our interactive, live and on-line hands-on Scrum Master workshop, you will share the Scrum framework, how to apply Scrum to your projects, and how to navigate the cultural changes necessary to implement Scrum. During the two day workshop, hosted by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST™), you will earn 14 PDUs.

In this workshop, participants will share how to start executing along with everything necessary for getting started with Scrum. There are very few rules to Scrum, so it is important to share its fundamental principles by experiencing them directly from those who have implemented the best Scrums in the software industry. Participants gain hands-on practice with the product backlog, sprint backlog, the daily Scrum meeting, burndown charts, Scrum boards, and more. Participants experience the Scrum flow through a series of hands-on exercises, ranging from Visioning through to Sprint Planning. Note: This workshop will also include using AI agents.

New for this offering: two exclusive AI rollout exercises have been added. As roles like AI Governance Prime or AI Rollout Coordinator begin to emerge, it turns out many of the core skills required—facilitation, system thinking, team alignment—are already embedded in the ScrumMaster role. Yet, newly certified ScrumMasters may not realize how qualified they are to contribute to responsible AI adoption. These hands-on exercises bridge that gap: participants will assess team-level pain points AI could solve, craft and test AI prompts, and create rollout strategies that scale across an organization. They’ll leave with a practical AI pilot canvas and leadership confidence to guide their teams—and their companies—through AI transformation.

This is a timely addition: while companies project up to 40% productivity gains from AI, only 2% are ready across the five dimensions of AI maturity—strategy, governance, talent, data, and technology. This workshop helps close that readiness gap by giving ScrumMasters the tools to lead in this next chapter of agile evolution.

Prerequisites:

Attendees are encouraged to have basic knowledge of the Scrum process obtained from books, journal articles, and online content. Prior experience with Scrum is a plus. The Scrum Guide is a required reading. The questions in the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) test are based on the learning objectives established for this workshop. All pre-requisite reading will be sent by Catherine Louis, your Certified Scrum Trainer (CST™) to attendees prior to the workshop.

Certification:

After attending the 2-day Certified ScrumMaster workshop, students are eligible to take the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Assessment Exam through the Scrum Alliance.
