Entry instructions
There are two entrances to the hospital. One on Gisborne Street and one on Morrison Place. The best place to be dropped off in a car or travel service would be Morrison Place. Facing the hospital on Morrison Place, there are four steps leading up to the entrance, or the ramp on the right-hand side. The stairs have handrails on both sides, and the ramp has a handrail on the left-hand side. Enter the hospital through the glass sliding doors at the top. The other entrance is along Gisborne Street, between Albert Street and Victoria Parade. Facing the hospital, this entrance has a ramp on the left and a set of stairs on the right. The ramp has a railing on both sides and is about 6 metres long. When you reach the top there is a sliding glass door on the left hand side that leads into the hospital foyer. If approaching from the stairs, there are 8 steps to the top and the sliding entrance door will be on the right.
After entry instructions
If entering from Morrison Place, once you pass through the main doors the Emergency Department is located to the right, and there will be a sign directing you to hospital reception to the left. Please head left and proceed towards reception. You will pass through another sliding glass door into an atrium area, and you will see the café directly ahead. If entering from Gisborne Street, you will pass through a second set of glass doors into the foyer and should find a set of lifts immediately in from of you and a reception desk to your left. There are two sets of lifts which are colour coded blue and green to make finding your way easier, however they lead to different areas of the hospital so please ensure you use the correct lifts. For this event please take the blue lifts to Level 7. If you are entering from Gisborne Street the blue lifts will be located directly in front of you as you enter the hospital foyer, but if you are coming from the Morrison Place entrance you will need to continue past the cafe and seating area and will find the blue lifts on your left. If you require assistance please speak with hospital staff or volunteers positioned on the ground floor.
Toilet location
There are toilets located in the clinical trials space on Level 7. Please speak to a staff member onsite if you require assistance with locating them.
