Event description

Join Our Exciting Science Workshop Series: Inspiring Your Daughter's Passion for Science

We invite your daughter to a unique and inspiring series of five, two-hour workshops dedicated to advancing her scientific skills and knowledge of cetaceans (whales and dolphins) right on the scenic shores of Port Phillip, Mornington Peninsula. These engaging sessions are tailored specifically for secondary school girls interested in marine science.

Workshop Highlights:

• Hands-On Learning: Each workshop will offer interactive and practical experiences, providing a deep dive into the world of cetaceans found in our local waters.

• Expert Guidance: The sessions are led by a passionate local cetacean scientist and educator, along with her experienced marine scientist colleagues, all eager to mentor and share their expertise.

• Career Insights: While this workshop isn’t a direct substitute for traditional work experience, it offers valuable insights into the marine science career path, showcasing the opportunities and realities of working with marine wildlife.

Exclusive Features:

• Small Group Experience: To ensure personalized attention and meaningful connections, each workshop group is limited to just 20 students. This allows participants to engage deeply with the mentor and foster relationships with like-minded peers.

• Support Beyond the Workshop: Participants can continue to connect and collaborate through the Circle Community app for up to a year after the workshop series at no extra cost, enhancing their learning and networking opportunities.

The five sessions of the workshop will be held on consecutive Saturdays from 10am - 12pm at the Mount Martha House Community Centre
