CGBG Education: One (Energy) Model, Whole Team
Description
One Model, Whole Team: Keeping a High-Performance Project in Sync from Design to Move-In
On a Passive House or high-performance project, the energy model changes hands many times. The architect draws it, the energy consultant models it, the mechanical engineer designs from it, and the builder changes it in the field. Every hand-off costs something: files go out of date, assemblies get re-entered, equipment is sized off last month's numbers, and a substitution on site goes unnoticed until verification.
Point 6 and PassivSure have been working together on live Colorado projects to fix that. Mark Attard will share what coordination looks like from the consultant's seat: where time goes, where mistakes come in, and what he has automated. Megan Ring will show how PassivSure keeps the team on one current model. It links SketchUp and PHPP, tracks versions of every file, and flows changes into equipment sizing, assemblies and reports. Then we'll open it up. Come for the drinks, stay for the conversation.
Who should attend
Passive House designers, consultants, builders, and project teams who are tired of redundant documentation, and anyone curious about lower-friction paths from a PHPP model to a permit.
