    Experience the benefits of a regular yoga practice, on any chair, anywhere! This Chair Yoga class is perfect for everyBODY but especially for those who want to participate in yoga but have challenges getting down to a yoga mat on the floor. It is ideal if you are travelling, sitting at a desk, a bit older or less mobile, living with a disability, doing rehab or managing an injury.

    The benefits of Chair Yoga are immense. Not only can you gain better flexibility, mobility, balance, and strength but you can improve your circulation, digestion and posture. Plus yoga helps to calm the mind, reducing stress and anxiety levels.

    Chair Yoga usually takes place at the Cliff Noble Community Centre in Alexandria.

    Claire is from Sydney, Australia and is an expert in her field. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Sport & Exercise Science and is a qualified Yoga Therapist, among many other certifications. She has been in the Fitness Industry for more than 20 years. Claire loves teaching Zumba GOLD, slow flow yoga and Chair Yoga!

    Please make sure you have a clear area to move. Take breaks when needed to drink water or to have a breather. Exercise within your physical limits to stay safe and injury free. 

    Pre-exercise check list:

    Please indicate if you have or have ever had any of the following conditions:

    1. Heart condition (for example, heart attack, stroke, angina, heart murmur)?
    2. Do you ever experience unexplained pains in your chest at rest or during physical activity/exercise?
    3. High blood pressure?
    5. If you have diabetes (type I or type II) have you had trouble controlling your blood glucose in the last 3 months?
    6. Severe dizziness or feeling faint during exercise?
    7. Have you been hospitalised in the last 6 months?
    8. Are you pregnant?

    It is recommended that if you have answered yes to any of the questions above or if you have not been physically active and/or are aged 60 years and over you must consult a medical professional prior to participation in any online directed fitness activities.

    There are no fees to participate in our online fitness classes.
