Join Jo from Garden of Yoga for a Chair Yoga and Mindfulness Session.

Chair Yoga and Mindfulness

A chair based movement sequence that uses relaxing stretches and gentle strengthening movements to ease out tension in the neck and jaw, promote good spine and shoulder alignment and stretch out tight legs and hips.

We will also explore mindful movement and breath practices to calm and center the mind.

The session will include a mindfulness practice to help focus our awareness, and a guided relaxation.

These are simple and effective practices that can be helpful to regulate our stress levels, emotions and sleep. We are all unique, so the emphasis is on tuning into the movements and mind practices which feel the most helpful for you, in a relaxed, friendly, no pressure environment.

There is no previous yoga experience or flexibility required - just wear comfortable clothes that you can move easily in.

All materials provided and no previous skills or experience needed. 

The session will be 45 mins and some tea and coffee will be provided if you want to stay and chat and unwind afterwards.

All proceeds go to Friends for Good- a registered charity focusing on loneliness and social isolation.
