Description

Enjoy an intimate chamber music performance in the authentic 1860s drawing room at Lanyon Homestead.

Featuring Canberra Symphony Orchestra Kingsland Fellows Jojo Yuen (piano), Chloe Law (cello) and Jacob Aziz (violin), this uplifting program includes Brahms' Piano Trio No. 1, Saint-Saëns' The Swan and Bach's Violin Sonata No. 1.

Following the performance, guests will be treated to a high tea in the Lanyon marquee, featuring handcrafted savoury treats, finger sandwiches and house-made sweets prepared by the Homestead Café and Restaurant.

Two identical sessions are available: 11am and 1pm. Seating is limited.

Featured musicians

Jojo Yuen is a Hong Kong-Australian pianist, award-winning chamber musician and former CSO Kingsland Fellow. Currently studying music and law at the Australian National University, she has performed internationally and recently undertook a study exchange at the University of Vienna.

Chloe Law is a Canberra-based cellist, CSO musician and former CSO Kingsland Fellow. She performs regularly with the Ellery String Quartet and has received multiple awards for chamber music and solo performance.

Jacob Aziz is an emerging violinist who has performed with Queensland Youth Orchestras and the Australian Youth Orchestra. An accomplished orchestral and chamber musician, he is currently participating in the Australian Youth Orchestra's National Music Camp program.

Important information

  • To help protect the heritage floors, please do not wear stiletto heels.

  • The homestead has limited heating and cooling; layered clothing is recommended.

  • The drawing room is wheelchair accessible via a ramp.

  • The homestead is approximately 200 metres from the car park along a pebbled driveway. A complimentary shuttle service is available for visitors requiring assistance. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for the service.
