Champagne, Chocolate, and Chopin is a truly unique evening of “edutainment”—an unforgettable Mother’s Day gift.
Step into 19th-century romance and elegance with the restorative magic of live classical music by virtuoso pianist Heidi Alina. Let the timeless melodies of Chopin, Beethoven, and Menotti transport you into a state of bliss as her artistry breathes life into every note. More than just a concert, this evening is an intimate experience, reminiscent of Parisian salon-style gatherings that Chopin himself would have hosted.
This special performance is part of Heidi’s preparation for her participation in the San Diego International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs, adding an exciting dimension to the evening. You'll find Heidi's extraordinary story of overcoming obstacles to return to the stage after a 30-year hiatus—along with the fascinating and often playful insights she shares about the music and composers—as engaging as the performance itself!
Experience the enchantment within the intimate Red Room parlor of the historic Manitou Springs Red Crags Arts and Agriculture House, where every detail whispers turn-of-the-century charm. From the opulent furnishings to the soft glow of candlelight, prepare to be enveloped in a realm of nostalgic allure.
Indulge your senses in a feast of delights, curated to tantalize and intrigue. Delectable hors d’oeuvres, artisanal chocolates, hand-crafted cocktails, fine champagne, and aromatic teas and coffees—each offering is designed to elevate your experience to new heights of culinary pleasure.
A truly unique highlight of the evening awaits beneath the grand piano. Nestled among plush blankets and pillows, a few lucky participants may choose to experience an ‘Under The Piano’ sound-bath as Heidi plays, letting the soul-stirring vibrations resonate through every cell. This powerful and immersive experience offers a rare journey into the very heart of the music.
For those drawn to movement, space will be set aside to explore this enchanting soundscape in the yoga room at Red Crags.
Join us for a night of exquisite indulgence and musical enchantment, where champagne, chocolate, and Chopin converge to create an experience like no other.
Space is limited! Reserve yours today for an evening that will linger in
your heart long after the final note fades...

BIO
Heidi Alina began her musical journey in Boulder, CO at the age of four. An award-
winning pianist throughout her youth, she earned her degree in piano performance from
CU Boulder’s College of Music as a Fiske Scholarship recipient. After a 30-year hiatus
spent raising her four children and establishing herself as a top African drummer, she
returned to her piano roots in 2019 under the mentorship of Jo Boatright—an
understudy to the world-renowned pianist Lili Kraus. Today, Heidi delights in captivating
audiences with her heartfelt performances as an artist-in-residence with the
Smokebrush Foundation in Manitou Springs, where she also teaches community
classes in African drumming. This concert serves as part of her preparation for the San
Diego International Piano Competition for Amateurs in late June, 2025.
