What to expect

Would you like to feel more confident in supporting diverse community involvement before, during and after disasters? 

Do you want to include young people in disaster management, response, and recovery in a meaningful, ethical way? Want to hear more about the roles that young people can play in your community?  

You’ll walk away from this interactive training equipped with the skills and confidence to address young people’s unique lived experiences, support their involvement in disaster spaces, and empower them to access these spaces through enhanced accessibility, youth participation models, and ethical engagement.  

Through the careful and practiced guidance of our experienced facilitators, you will leave knowing how you can enhance youth participation in your communities’ existing disaster plans and actions.

This event is open to all in the youth sector and those who work with young people in a relational way and where the young person is their priority.
