A CONVERSATION ABOUT RESILIENCE AND LEADERSHIP

For the past 28 years, Dr. Majumdar has boldly interrupted the social and political structures in Bangladesh: replacing division, corruption and extremism with peace, trust and respect for human rights.

Through his work at a grassroots level, Dr. Majumdar has firsthand experience of what it takes to become an effective leader. 

He will share stories of resilient and resourceful Bangladeshi women who are successfully tackling issues such as chronichunger, gender inequality and child marriage.

WHO IS DR. MAJUMDAR?

•Born in Bangladesh and educated in the US, he holds a PhD in Economics
•After a career as a university lecturer and working at NASA, he returned to Bangladesh in 1991
•He took the role of THP Country Director in 1993 and was instrumental in the development of THP’s unique Vision, Commitment, Action workshop to enable people to become authors of their own future
