Changes to the Active Plus Investor Category and Overseas Investment Office - Roundtable Discussion

Join us for a lunchtime roundtable event discussing announced changes to the Active Investor Plus (AIP) category and Overseas Investment Office requirements.

Immigration Partner Nicola Tiffen and Special Counsel Nicky Robertson will discuss the changes to the AIP including the introduction of the Balanced and Growth Categories.

What you can expect to hear about:

  • The minimum amount of any investments, the types of acceptable investments open to investors, the period of time applicants will have to invest their funds after the Approval in Principle of their application.
  • The duration of any investments as well as the conditions attached to any resident visas.
  • David Briscoe, Partner in Duncan Cotterill’s national Private Client team, will be discussing the pathway for new residents to purchase residential properties prior to them becoming “ordinarily resident” in New Zealand and therefore eligible to acquire residential properties.

Who will benefit from this event? This event will suit anyone providing advice on investments in New Zealand to potential applicants under the AIP.

This is a smaller roundtable event. Spaces are strictly limited to ensure a focused and interactive environment, please RSVP to secure your spot.
