Channelling the Rage: Speaking back to structural oppression at the Intersections of Trans Wellbeing
Event description
In this panel and workshop we bring together people with lived experience of racism, ableism, and transphobia who also have significant expertise in facilitating organisational change. Together they will challenge us to explore proactive ways that we can ‘channel our rage’, accommodating our own and others’ trauma, in order to speak back to structural oppression as individuals, leaders, employees, activists and collaborators.
Facilitated by Errol Amerasekera (author of ‘The Anti Racist Organisation’) and Son Vivienne (author of ‘Queering Safe Spaces’) with panelists Kim Lee and Jax Brown, Basem Kerbage, Peter Waples Crowe. You will have an opportunity to meet and get to know diverse community members, and legendary activists including TGV staff and Committee members.
Location: VPC Theatrette
Light lunch will be provided.
Note: the panel component of this event will be recorded and available to registrants who are not able to attend in person
