Chanukah 2026: Family Shabbat Celebration
Description
Bring the whole family to celebrate the first Shabbat of Chanukah together, co-hosted by Emanuel Synagogue and Emanuel Woollahra Preschool.
Little ones can decorate their own donuts, enjoy games and face painting, and settle in for a special storytime with PJ Library.
Over at Emanuel Woollahra Preschool, children can also get creative with arts and crafts.
Together, we’ll then light the Chanukah candles and welcome Shabbat, before sharing a light supper in the David Neil Constable AM Memorial Garden.
Accessibility of our offerings is of paramount importance to us. To remove any financial barrier to attending, we are offering pay-what-you-can tickets – whatever your circumstances, we want you at the table with us. And if you are in a position to do so, please consider sponsoring a seat for someone who would value the company this Chanukah.
SECURITY
Given the current climate, heightened security measures will be in place, and you may be asked to present your photo ID at the gate. We ask that you remain patient and respectful as our dedicated guards work hard to keep us safe.
To stay informed about future events and other cultural programs at Emanuel, follow us on Instagram and Facebook and subscribe to our newsletter. We delight in celebrating our rich and diverse culture with you.
