Jewish Council Chanukah Community Day
Melbourne/Naarm
A Light for Dark Times
The Jewish Council of Australia invites you to a community Chanukah gathering and pot luck dinner!
There will be something for everyone: discussions, candle making, latke cooking (and eating!), kids activities, crafts, more eating, dreidel spinning, and lighting chanukiot.
All are welcome as we gather, eat, and remember that together we can create light and hope even in our darkest moments.
Where and When
Location is in Prahran, in Melbourne/Naarm. Exact details to be announced.
Date: 21st December (the 8th night of Chanukah)
This event also falls on the date of Eid al Banat, the North African Arab Jewish Womens' holiday

4:00pm - Activities and workshops
6:00pm - Potluck Dinner
8:00pm - Candle lighting & songs
You are welcome to drop in at any time if you are unable to make it for the whole event.
All are welcome!
Funds raised will go to Palestine Australia Relief Action (PARA). PARA is a Palestinian led charity that helps Palestinian migrants and refugees settle in Australia and achieve their full potential – free from the barriers created by conflict and displacement.
