Chanukah Kabbalat Shabbat
Description
Latkes, Light & L'chaims: A Chanukah Kabbalat Shabbat at Beit Tarbut
There are eight nights of Chanukah, but only one of them is Shabbat — so let's do it properly.
Beit Tarbut opens its doors for a warm, easygoing Friday night: chanukiot in the window, candles lit together as the sun goes down, and singing that starts gently and gets significantly less gentle by the third round.
Expect latkes, sufganiyot, a glass of something, and a room full of people who'd rather be here than anywhere else.
We'll welcome Shabbat together - no prior knowledge, Hebrew, or vocal talent required. Come as you are.
Kids are very welcome; dreidels will be provided and spinning disputes will be mediated fairly.
Whether you come regularly or haven't been in years, this is your invitation. Bring a friend, bring your voice, bring an appetite.
Light the candles. Stay for the party.
