Chapel of Love @ The Glass House
Event description
Angel Strings merge forces with a soprano and organist while the glass walls through to the forest beyond become a majestic canvas for colour and light. Featuring stirring music by John Taverner, Elgar, Ravel, Philip Glass, Max Richter, Sigur Ros and Hans Zimmer, this is for classical music lovers, non-classical music lovers and lovers of colour and space. The unique Glasshouse chapel was built using reclaimed timber from Garden Island Navy Wharf, Sydney; Eltham Rail Trestle Bridge, Vic and Oregon timber from an old School House in Victoria. These weathered beams tower skyward creating a breathtaking effect that draws the eye upwards, through the glass above and into the thick canopy. Couple this venue with the lighting artists creation alongside the power of the organ and the lush tones of live strings and soprano, the immersive experience is nothing short of transcendent. |
